Fast, fun, no-contact football for boys & girls ages 3–17 in the Chico area. Powered by Blue Chip Youth Sports, our league packs real football strategy into a friendly, high-energy format where every player gets touches, reps, and a chance to shine. ✨

❄️ Season at a Glance

🗓️ Game Days: Sundays, January 31st – March 14th, 2027

📍 Location: Pleasant Valley High School – Football Field 1475 East Ave., Chico, CA 95926

⏱️ Game Length: 1 hour per game

📊 Season Format: 6 regular-season games + 1–3 playoff games (7–9 total)

📘 Practices: Set by each coach; we encourage no more than once per week

🏆 Champions: Season champions earn an invitation to the Tournament of Champions at Pasadena High School (travel and lodging are the parent/guardian’s responsibility).

⚖️ Division Adjustments: The organization and league reserve the right to adjust division age ranges by up to one year (up or down) as needed to ensure divisions are filled and competitively balanced.

🏈 How We Play (Quick Specs)

🎮 Rookie (3–4): 4v4 on a kid-sized field; no scores or stats — maximum fun and learning

🎮 All Other Divisions (Pee Wee–Legend, including GEMS): 5v5 on a 25-yard × 70-yard field with two 10-yard end zones; scores, standings, and stats tracked

🚫 No Blitzing: Rookie, Pee Wee, Junior (Co-Ed), GEMS Junior, and GEMS Major

⚡ Controlled Blitzing: Permitted in older divisions under established safety rules

📅 League Schedule & Registration Timing

❄️ WINTER 2027 SEASON: Sundays, January 31st – March 14th, 2027

⏰ Registration Ends: Sunday, January 17th, 2027

🔁 Refunds & Age Cut-Off

🔁 Refunds: You may request a refund within 7 days of your registration date.

No refunds after the 7-day window or within 14 days of the season start (after January 17th, 2027). No exceptions.

You have the option to purchase an optional third-party refund protection policy during checkout for circumstances outside our standard refund policy.

🎂 Age Cut-Off Date: December 31st, 2026

Your player’s “league age” is their age on that date.

Examples:

• Born January 1, 2021 → League Age 5 (turns 6 the day after the cut-off)
• Born December 31, 2020 → League Age 6

📄 Birth Certificate: Required (upload during registration)

🛡️ Background Checks: Mandatory NCSI (National Center for Safety Initiatives) background checks for all coaches, assistant coaches, staff, and referees

✅ Required Training: Abuse prevention, mandatory reporting, and concussion safety training for staff and coaches

🏈👕 Jersey: Official Blue Chip reversible team jersey

🩳 Shorts/Pants: Must have NO pockets (safety requirement)

👟 Footwear: Cleats permitted (no metal spikes)

🦷 Mouthpiece: Required for all players

🪖 Helmet: Any soft-shell protective helmet is REQUIRED. Players may wear a soft-shell helmet from any manufacturer, provided it is designed for athletic use and meets league safety requirements. (Soft-shell helmet policy in effect since Spring 2021.)
